At Proctor Hospital, volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations and
the delivery of quality care and services. We believe that volunteerism not only
adds to the quality of one’s life but also gives individuals the opportunity to
share their knowledge and life experience with others. The commitment made each
day by our volunteers adds greatly to the excellence in care and the commitment
to quality of the entire organization.
Chaplains
As a nondenominational hospital, Proctor utilizes volunteer chaplains representing
as wide a variety of denominations as possible. Each chaplain spends approximately
three hours per week at the hospital offering prayers to patients and families,
distributing Daily Bread Devotionals, or providing pastoral care support to those
with special needs. Chaplains may choose the hours and the days they would like
to work.
