Welcome to Proctor Hospital
Beginning July 1, 2010, Proctor Hospital will join Caterpillar’s preferred provider network. At that time, Caterpillar employees and retirees who participate in the Caterpillar Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) may begin selecting Proctor Hospital as their hospital of choice for the first time since 1992.
Our physicians and staff are excited and look forward to being a trusted health care partner in providing care to Caterpillar employees, retirees and families.
While the Hospital will join the Caterpillar PPO network in July, Proctor First Care and Proctor Medical Group are current participating providers in the Caterpillar PPO and will continue as such in 2010.
Proctor Hospital, Proctor First Care, and Proctor Medical Group physicians are current participating providers in the Health Alliance Medical Plans HMO currently available to Caterpillar employees and will continue as such in 2010.
Proctor has been serving the Peoria community for more than 125 years.
Situated on a serene park-like campus, we offer convenient location just
outside downtown Peoria, easy access by public transportation, and ample free parking.
In serving our community, a dedicated medical staff of more than 500 physicians
provides high quality care to approximately 6,700 inpatients and nearly 84,000
outpatients each year. We also treat approximately 19,000 patients in the emergency
room annually with a team of nurses whom are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support,
trauma nursing and emergency pediatric nursing (ACLS, TNNCC, ENPC certification).
Beyond our high standard of care, we offer all private patient rooms, with
amenities including room service dining, for each one of our 220 authorized beds.
Furthermore, we offer home care services and are the only hospital in the area with
an on-site Skilled Nursing Center this allows for easy access to nurses and therapists,
which can help speed recovery and reduce lengths of stay after surgical procedures are
performed at Proctor. We also offer our Family Care program, which assists patients
and family members who must travel from outlying areas to Proctor for major surgical
and interventional procedures.
Proctor includes a network of five urgent care
Proctor First Care facilities.
These facilities provide same-day care for patients who have an episode of illness,
minor emergencies and physical examinations. The urgent care sites also offer basic
radiological imaging services and laboratory services.
Proctor provides outpatient mental health services through the Counseling Center at
Proctor Hospital. In addition Proctor provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient
substance abuse treatment and addictions services through the
Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery at Proctor.
