We recognize that women face health concerns and issues that men do not. That’s why we’ve taken steps to offer a wide variety of specialized programs and services to address the special needs of women.
Proctor gives women options for better health
Childbirth and breast cancer are two women’s health concerns being addressed daily at Proctor through the comprehensive services of the Family Maternity Center, and through the mammography screening programs of our Diagnostic Imaging Department. But because women are not immune to many of the same health concerns as men, our programs and services go beyond these "traditional" offerings.
Heart disease is a growing concern for women. Specialized education programs focus on what women can do to stay heart healthy. When needed, women have access to Proctor’s comprehensive cardiac services, including education, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
Proctor outpatient surgery is an ideal alternative for the busy lifestyles of many women. Our educational programs also allow women of all ages to find answers related to osteoporosis, menopause and other age-related issues. Screenings, special services and educational resources help seniors stay healthy.
Addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, the Internet, food and shopping are addressed in special programs at the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery.
